Although the sequels did bring the Skywalker saga to an end, they weren’t the exciting return to the Star Wars universe fans were expecting, but at least they brought new characters, of which some had made their debuts on other media before appearing on the big screen. Just when the Star Wars saga seemed to have reached its end, Disney began working on a new trilogy with the intention of closing the Skywalker saga and introducing a new generation of heroes and villains. Years later, the Star Wars universe expanded with a prequel trilogy, which followed the life of Anakin Skywalker and his rise as Darth Vader.
This film, along with the sequels Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, form what’s known as the “original trilogy”. The Star Wars saga began in 1977 with the film now known as Star Wars: A New Hope, which introduced viewers around the world to a galaxy far, far away, and the heroes and villains that live in it. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker featured Sith troopers, part of the Sith Eternal’s army, as well as their subgroups – and here’s every one of them.
